Awesome storyline, once you get started it's hard to put it down.
bought this as a gift. Haven't heard any complaints so I ranked it 5 stars.
This was heavy. I felt so bad for this couple. Tbh, she got on my nerves bc she refused to get the help she needed. But, at the same time, I understand.
I'll just say E. N. Joy did that!
This story gives you a lot to think about. It portrayed real life events that could possibly happen in your life. I fully enjoyed it.
This book was filled with twist and turns. It hit on several points that the African American community often over looks. The need for mental health healing, the mistrust and fear of losing our loved ones to someone else, and the need to control every aspect of our lives and those around us. Deborah was such a strong character that took me through so many emotions. I laughed at her ignorance to worldly things and cried about the pain she felt. I couldn't put the book down. Awesome read!!!!
This is the 2nd book of the Forever Diva Series, the characters are very well developed, plot/storyline great, there we maybe two errors. The story climaxed then relaxed with such ease. The history/timeline was on point. The things that are talked about in One Sunday At A Time I feel people can very much relate to. I would recommend this book to anyone.
I really enjoyed this book about how Deborah had to go through to get to the other side. She had to have a breakdown to have a breakthrough;lose control to get help from God and His resource. Certain cultures including Christians need to accept mental health is a reality so we can get appropriate help
